| This series of
pages is dedicated to my hobbies. These are the little things
that occupy my time and provide a nice diversion for my brain to
keep my sanity.
Computers: I try to keep what I do in my personal time
on computers sufficiently different from what I do in my
employment. This keeps things interesting and exciting while
still keeping me energized to perform at my absolute best when
doing my job.
NASCAR racing is the mindless activity that I do on
Sunday afternoons while sitting in front of the television rooting
for my favorite drivers. (These guys who risk their lives weekly
simply to keep me entertained.) I also try to attend at least one
or two races a year. What can I say: 43 cars roaring past you at
200 miles per hour is best described as a religious experience.
Asian Studies has been a formal hobby for me since
sometime in my undergrad college career. It's something I enjoy.
Eventually perhaps I'll pursue some related degree in the field
(after other priorities are put to rest.) Read the
Asian Studies page
for more details.
Theology: Like Asian Studies this is another study that
I picked up as a hobby in my undergrad years. Although I consider
myself fairly well versed in the various forms of Christianity I
have made it my focus to learn as much as possible about various
religions from the Asian continent. ( Buddhism, Taoism,
Confucianism, Shinto, Jainism, Hinduism. ) (I have NOT
created a page for this yet. Keep checking back.) |
