2005 - This is another one of my "airport" states. I spent several hours in the Salt Lake City airport during a layover on a return trip from California. It seemed like a nice "small-townish" airport, quite unlike the huge international airports that I am accustomed to sitting in. The airport staff was helpful and friendly.
During my visit the airport was cold and the ground outside was icy. Because I was returning home from Orange County California I was woefully ill-prepared for the cold weather. I didn't spend too much time outside or I would have frozen to death.
