I've spent quite a bit of time in Virginia. It offers a wide assortment of activities. By far my favorite is Colonial Williamsburg. Colonial Williamsburg is an entire town that has been restored to how it originally appeared during the period that this country was a colony of England. If you are a history buff you will LOVE this place. The Busch Gardens amusement park is nearby and offers a nice diversion.
I've also spent some time exploring Richmond and some of the Civil War battlefields that surround this city.
