Note: This car was traded in April 1999 for my Ford Mustang GT.

I consider the neon a "sleeper". When you drive it, it is hardly what you expect
from a car that costs less than $15k. With a few unique modifications, the car
becomes a lot more fun. This page documents my particular Neon. I've
driven it since it was new in 1995. I enjoy it! Please enjoy these
pages and comment freely.

Official designation: 1995 Highline SOHC 5 Speed
Additional modifications follow:
Magnacor 8mm plug-wires
Bosche Platnum spark plugs
KONI Adjustable struts. These struts allow you to adjust the rebound action for each wheel. They are outstanding when tuning your car's suspension for racing on a particular course, or simply for high performance street driving.
Scroth 4-point racing harness for added safety and control.
American Racing AR-24 alloy wheels. These shave some weight off the car from the factory steel. They also allow better brake cooling and improved aesthetics.
Eagle HP 205 60R 14 --> High performance tires.
"Sport" style front bumper (The fog-light holes provide better cooling for the brakes -- see the next item.)
(Bumper was added aftermarket. The original highline bumper was removed)
Brake cooling ducts cut into fender well. Allows the fog light
holes to operate as brake cooling vents. (Noticeable difference when
traveling
downhill at speed on the Pocono mountain curves where your life depends on your brakes !
The main difference is that the brakes fade much less then they did before I cut in the
cooling ducts.)
MOPAR rear-sway bar
Upgraded instrument cluster with tach (Original cluster did not have a tach)
STP Air Filter
FRAM Oil Filter
Dark Tinted Windows
Custom Graphics
500 Watt Custom Stereo with CD and Subwoofer
Pioneer DEH-835R Head Unit
Pioneer GM-4000 Amplifier
10 " Subwoofer
Cell Phone built into car (The "communications centre" )
Improved air intake system (Ice-Man would be my first
choice.)
Less restrictive exhaust
Improved brake pads & rotors
